BECCA WILLIAMS

Artist Becca Williams with one of her beloved Frenchies           ARTIST STATEMENT:

"I invite you to look with clear and open eyes at the art that I have created, and hope that through it I have made a connection with you; and better yet, that it brings a smile to your face..."

My passion for animals and the natural world, and the inspiration I receive from observing, interacting with, and interpreting this world is reflected in my work.

I try to engage the viewer's eye, mind and heart, and to bring a new perspective of the subject, through an interaction of form, subject matter, movement, color, light, and sometimes humor.  Being able to create art of quality brings joy and connectivity to my life, and I try to pass these qualities to those who view my work.

Creativity has a fluidity that transcends boundaries and finds expression in many diverse mediums.  I approach and create my art with this in mind.  I enjoy the mental stimulation and challenges provided by hands-on application and problem solving, a process that is both reflective and still, and active and invigorating for me.  Creating and building is something that I am driven to do, and art is the vehicle that allows me to find form and expression for this inner drive.
